The ability to make one's own choices
in life about where to live and how to spend each day is something that
we all value. Since 1975, staff and volunteers at Mystic Valley Elder
Services have strived to ensure that local elders in the communities
of Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Stoneham
and Wakefield have the ability to make these choices. For many older
adults, community supports offered in a timely fashion can make the
difference between continued independence and institutionalization.
By providing services such as information and referral, home health
care, home delivered meals, transportation, care planning and care coordination,
older adults are able to remain living in their own homes.
Government funds cover the cost of many MVES services.
Yet, more funding is necessary to meet the broad-based needs of local
elders. Your support helps us quickly and flexibly respond to service
needs as they arise so that older adults can safely age in place. For
more details, please see our current Annual
Report.
