Web Contest Rules

Overview
Five prizes will be given to contest participants. A participant is someone who visits www.mves.org and signs up for The Beacon with a valid e-mail address. Only one entry per e-mail address is allowed. One prize will be given out every five business days. At 3 p.m. of the fifth business day, a winner will be selected randomly. The winner will be notified by e-mail, using the e-mail address submitted. The winner must acknowledge receipt of the prize allocation within 48 hours by contacting MVES by e-mailing contest@mves.org. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, the winner forfeits the prize and another random drawing will be held to choose a new winner.

Rules
One e-mail address can win only one prize.

Upon receiving acknowledgement from the winner, MVES will have the prize available for pick-up in Malden, Massachusetts within ten business days.

Contestants must live in Massachusetts and be willing and able to come to Malden, Massachusetts to pick up their prizes. Indicated prize restrictions apply to all winners.

The contest will run for six weeks, beginning on Monday, January 31, 2005. One winner will be chosen at the end of each business week, starting on Friday, February 11 at 3 p.m. EST. Subsequent winners will be chosen at 3 p.m. EST on February 18, February 25, March 4, and March 11.

A valid e-mail address must be used to sign up for The Beacon and enter the contest.

Entrants do not have to be present to win.

Entrants must be 21 years old or older and must not work for MVES or serve in a voluntary capacity in association with MVES.

No substitution will be allowed and prizes may not be redeemed for cash or other consideration.

A winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a receipt.

Taxes, where applicable, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

The contest is void where prohibited by law.

The odds of winning a prize are dependent on the number of entries received.

Winners must be willing to have their name, city or town of residence, and date they received the prize made available upon request. MVES reserves the right to post such information on its web site and in a future edition of The Beacon.
