RSVP Reading Partners Tutor

Summary

In the Reading Partners Program, specially-trained volunteers are placed in local public schools as literacy coaches. Children in kindergarten through third grade are referred to the program by teachers and are matched with volunteers for weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions. Reading Partner volunteers are supported by on-site coordinators and the RSVP Literacy Coordinator. The Reading Partner Program provides volunteers with an opportunity to help children who need extra assistance with their reading skills.

Commitment

Four hours per week, September through June.
