MVES Laughs For Meals

MVES is excited to announce that its very first comedy event, A Bellyful of Laughs, on January 23 was a success! Local comedians Dave Russo and Paul Gilligan kept the jokes coming and had the audience roaring. Along with awesome entertainment, there was great food and plenty of raffle prizes. Best of all, we raised money for local elders.

“The comedians’ local humor really had us cracking up!” said Christine Falzarano, member of MVES’ Board of Directors. “We’re so happy that we were able to raise money for older adults while having a blast. Doesn’t get much better than that!”

And, the results are in and they’re nothing to laugh at!

More than 400 people attended the sold-out event!
The event netted $15,000 to support MVES’ Meals on Wheels Program!
These funds will deliver about 7,500 home-delivered meals to area elders!
The luckiest of attendees walked away with raffle prizes valued at over $3,000!
