Soup's On For Meals on Wheels!

On a freezing cold winter day, nothing satisfies quite like a cup of hot soup! Beginning in March, MVES’ home-delivered meals program will offer soup twice a week.

There will be a wide variety of soups on the menu. March’s includes corn, clam, potato, and seafood chowders and tomato, mushroom, and vegetable barley soups! Home-delivered meals clients are encouraged to check the menu each month to see when the soup will be served. To view March’s menu, click here (opens PDF in new window).

The soup will come chilled and will require heating. There will be simple heating instructions on the back of the menu.

MVES’ home-delivered meals program offers several different menus including hot, cold, and therapeutic menus. The soup will be available to elders who receive meals from the regular and modified hot menus. Those receiving the cold or therapeutic meals will not have soup on their menu. All of the menus are planned by dietitians.
