MVES Fundraiser Supported by Intercity
Local business Intercity Home Care is a key sponsor for Mystic Valley Elder Services’ (MVES) benefit performance of Sisters of Swing, The Andrews Sisters Story. Intercity is a platinum sponsor for the event that will be held at the Stoneham Theatre on April 12. All net proceeds from the event will benefit MVES’ Gap Fund. “Intercity is pleased to help MVES raise money for this compelling initiative,” said Jim Katz, president of Intercity Home Care. “The Gap Fund allows more elders to receive the care they need to remain living in their homes.” The Gap Fund is an endowment created by MVES that hopes to raise $1 million. The interest accrued by The Gap Fund is used to provide home care services to elders who are slightly above government income eligibility guidelines or who are not considered frail enough for government-supported services.
