Shop Early, Help Elders!

The early bird gets the worm, right? Well, at MVES’s annual holiday sale, the early bird gets the wrapping paper...and the holiday cards…and the gift bags…and lots of other fun, festive goodies for a great price and a greater cause!

MVES invites you to shop early and shop inexpensively for the upcoming holiday season at our annual sale! Please come to our office, 300 Commercial Street, #19 in Malden, on November 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get some amazing holiday bargains.

Shoppers can choose from an array of low-priced ribbons, bows, cards, gift wrap, and plenty of other odds and ends like frames, trinkets, and ornaments for all tastes. All of these quality items are generously donated to MVES by Copley Flair, a hip Boston-based card and gift shop.

One hundred percent of proceeds from the sale benefit the MVES Elder at Risk Fund. The fund, which was created in 1992, is used to purchase emergency items for elders in a crisis situation.

“We raised more than $2,000 at last year’s holiday sale,” said Specialized Case Worker Amy Foreman, who has been the lead organizer of the sale from its beginnings. “Let’s hope we raise even more this year on November 5 to help elders at risk.”
