The number to call for elder information has long been 1-800-AGE-INFO.
When a person calls, he or she can talk to someone about resources available
to elders almost any time of the day. Care Options Consultants
are available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. But, how will people know this?
By spreading
the word! Starting on April 30, listen to Boston's WROR (105.7 FM) for
creative advertisements that talk about 1-800-AGE-INFO. Two spots have
been developed and will run for three weeks—around Mother's Day—at
all times of the day and night. The purpose? To get more people to use
this great resource.
You might also see WROR's Street Team and van in your community in
the coming months. Along with event tickets and merchandise give-aways,
they will be handing out printed information about 1-800-AGE-INFO. Look
for the brightly-colored van and you might wind up with some tickets
and 1-800-AGE-INFO information.
Also, as part of the visibility campaign for 1-800-AGE-INFO, several
strategic billboards around metro Boston will advertise the number and
placards can be seen on the MBTA.
