Volunteer Opportunities
RSVP Reading Partner Program
Specially trained volunteers are placed in local public schools as literacy
coaches. Children in kindergarten through third grade are referred to the program
by teachers and are matched with volunteers for weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions.
Reading Partner volunteers are supported by on-site coordinators and the RSVP
Literacy Coordinator. The Reading Partner Program provides volunteers 55 and over
with an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children in need of extra
assistance to improve reading skills.
