A nutritious meal goes a long way toward maintaining your health and independence. That’s why Mystic Valley Elder Services provides a range of meal services, community dining, and food distribution to older adults in our region. Our staff dietitians provide nutrition education and in-home nutritional assessments for at-risk elders too.
Every week day we deliver well-balanced lunches to thousands of older adults in our service region. These dietitian-approved meals provide one-third of your daily nutrients and help to boost your immune system, maintain healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels, support brain function, and prevent disease.
Meals typically arrive between 9am and 1:30pm. Ethnic and special dietary options are available. There is a suggested donation of $2/meal but no one is ever turned away.
Through Meals on Wheels, we serve almost 700,000 meals to elders every year.
SENIOR DINING SITES ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19
Get a well-balanced lunch while socializing with older adults in your community. Our senior dining program offers the same menu dietician-advised lunches as our Meals on Wheels program. These meals are served at 20 senior living sites across the region on Mondays through Fridays. They are open to all older adults in the area.
Lunch is generally served at or close to noon. Ethnic options are available at some sites as special dietary options are available at all sites. There is a suggested donation of $2/meal but no one is ever turned away. Guests under 60 years of age are welcome to join us for lunch for $3.50.
Please call the dining site directly to make your reservation, at least 24 hours in advance.

Mystic Tea is a monthly gathering for individuals with a focus on serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender older adults in the Mystic Valley region, and beyond. The dining site provides an affirming, comfortable gathering place for LGBTQ older adults and anyone who wants to meet, eat and socialize with a lot of very interesting and welcoming people. The “tea” includes coffee, tea, a hearty meal and periodical guest speakers, but more importantly, good company and conversation/ There’s a $2 suggested donation to offset the cost of food.
