Starting in March, Mystic Valley Elder Services will host a free workshop series for family and friends who are active caregivers for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.

“We are pleased to offer this important resource for those caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease,” said Kathy Learned, Mystic Valley Elder Services’ Family Caregiver Support Coordinator. “The training series will include topics such as communicating more effectively, setting goals, and developing skills to help manage daily life. We understand that getting out for trainings can be difficult for caregivers and we can arrange for respite care if needed.”

The six-session workshop series will take place at the North Reading Union Congregational Church, 148 Haverhill Street in North Reading. Classes will be held on Thursdays starting March 22nd through April 26th from 1pm-3pm. To reserve a seat, please contact Kathy Learned, Family Caregiver Support Coordinator, at 781-324-7705 before March 15th.
