Joan Lepore, co-owner of ABC Home Healthcare Professionals, the event’s Presenting Sponsor, gets a good laugh from the comedians at last year’s presentation of Bellyful of Laughs with her husband Greg.
For the 11th year in row, ABC Home Healthcare Professionals, a Wakefield-based private home care agency, is the Lead Sponsor for the January 2021 “Un-Event” of Mystic Valley Elder Services’ Bellyful of Laughs. Typically this event sells out each year and raises tens of thousands of dollars for older adults and those living with disabilities but due to COVID-19 protocols, there will be no show. But despite the pandemic, ABC Home Healthcare Professionals feel that it is still important, if not more important during these trying times, to support our neighbors in need.
“Everyone should have the opportunity to live in their communities for as long as possible in a safe and supportive environment. That’s just one of the many reasons we’re so proud to continue to be connected with Bellyful of Laughs and with Mystic Valley Elder Services, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
ABC Home Healthcare Professionals is a full-service home healthcare organization, family owned and operated by Nurse Practitioners and Certified Geriatric Care Managers. Their home health aides, homemakers, companions, caregivers, nurses, and hospice professionals are dedicated to providing the highest quality and most comprehensive private home care services in northeastern Massachusetts. In collaboration with Mystic Valley Elder Services and other community organizations, ABC assists older adults in maintaining their independence within the comfort of their own homes.
Brookline Bank, Melrose Coop Foundation, Natale Company & SafetyCare and TRIO Community Meals are the supporting sponsors for the “Un-Event”. These four supporting sponsors have been involved with Bellyful of Laughs for years, helping raise tens of thousands of dollars for older adults and those living with disabilities.
Since 1871, Brookline Bank has built a legacy of consistent financial strength, trust, outstanding banking services, and strong customer relationships. They deliver a wide array of banking and financial services geared to helping individuals and businesses manage their finances throughout Greater Boston. They commit to doing more, delivering more, and exceeding expectations.
“Brookline Bank has been proud to be a supporter of Mystic Valley Elder Services for many years now,” said Darryl Fess, president & CEO of Brookline Bank. “Providing support to seniors is easy for any individual or organization to get behind. But it has been that much more important during the pandemic when the one-on-one social interaction so vital to seniors is difficult, if not impossible to provide.”
Melrose Coop Foundation, a charitable legacy of the Melrose Cooperative Bank, provides financial support to charitable and community service organizations in Melrose and beyond.
MaryBeth McAteer Margolis, president of the Melrose Coop Foundation, commented: “Despite the turmoil and uncertainty during this pandemic, one thing that has not changed is our foundation’s commitment to assist the people living in our community. Now, perhaps more than ever before, elders and adults living with disabilities need to rely on Meals on Wheels and other services provided by Mystic Valley Elder Services, and we are proud to partner with them in delivering these services.”
Natale Company & SafetyCare of Woburn specializes in home modifications, durable medical equipment and construction so your neighbors and family members can stay independent in their own homes. They sell, deliver, and install grab bars, wood handrails, shower chairs, wheelchairs, hospital beds, ramps and accessible bathrooms.
“Natale Company & SafetyCare wants to thank Mystic Valley Elder Services for its wonderful event and allowing us to partner with them to help serve the senior community. When the call goes out for help and support we continue to answer that call when seniors are in need. We look forward to many continued years of volunteering and financial support with MVES,” says John Natale, president of Natale Company & SafetyCare.
For more than 32 years, TRIO Community Meals (formerly known as Lindley Food Service) of Woburn with central offices in Flowood, MS, has served well balanced and nutritious meals to our senior citizens across the New England area, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.
“For 17 years, TRIO Community Meals is honored to partner with Mystic Valley Elder Services to provide seniors with critical nutrition that enables them to live at home independently. Together, we offer seniors in your community a progressive meal program filled with fresh, innovative meals that seniors enjoy. Meals are prepared in TRIO’s state-of-the-art Boston Central Kitchen that opened in Fall 2020. TRIO’s operation has focused attention on safe, high-quality meals for seniors in your community,” says Gil Rossomando, president of TRIO Community Meals.
“As TRIO’s President, I genuinely value TRIO’s true partnership with Dan O’Leary of Mystic Valley Elder Services. This steadfast relationship enables TRIO progressively to enhance your meal program. I and Paul D’Amico, TRIO’s Regional Manager, with the entire TRIO team are committed to positively impacting seniors’ lives in your community. We are humbled and honored to serve your seniors.”
While we will miss gathering together this month to laugh for a good cause, there are still opportunities to help older adults and adults living with disabilities to stay independent!
